Good advice — and thanks for stopping by.

I’ve actually used Pingoat. The only problem with it, that I can see, is that you can’t ping it…

Also, it has you pinging sites that you should submit your feed to first, like blogdigger and syndic8.

And that subject is worth an article all its own.

However, it is a great service if for some reason the blogging platform you’re using doesn’t allow you to ping. Otherwise it’s an added step.

Very good advice. At the suggestion of a fellow blogger (who has very good Alexa page rank) I just signed up with pingoat.com which pings new posts automatically to several from your list and many others. It’s a free service - might be worth a look.
